Re: H.Con.Res. 83
Dear Representative Millender-McDonald:
On behalf of the Cambodian American National Council (CANC), we wish to
recognize your efforts on H. Con. Res. 83 honoring the victims of the Khmer
Rouge. Your work and dedication to the Cambodian community extends
well beyond your district and CANC acknowledges your involvement and sincere
concern for Cambodians across the United States.
In addition, your work benefits the many Cambodians abroad, the younger
Cambodian generations, and those unfamiliar with the Khmer story by preserving
a tragic era of our history so that others may see the difficult roads many
Cambodians have traveled to become who we are today. CANC also believes
this resolution will help remind the world of a time so dark that no decent
human must ever allow to be repeated.
CANC is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and advancement
of Cambodians both here in the United States and abroad. CANC
is also the only National Cambodian organization of this kind. We are
fortunate to have such a person that is as dedicated to preserving the history
of the Khmers, as well as, our present and future. Please rest assured
that we will do what we can for our new country and that we are just as proud
to be American as we are Cambodian.
On behalf of CANC, we wish to thank you for your work and efforts on passing
this resolution. Most importantly, we thank you for your dedication,
commitment and belief in the Khmer people.
Sincerely,
Vi Houi, President
Cambodian American National Council

Re: H. Con. Res. 83
Dear Ms. Khy:
On behalf of the Cambodian American National Council (CANC), we wish to
recognize your efforts on H. Con. Res. 83, honoring the victims of the Khmer
Rouge. Without your work and dedication towards the Cambodian community,
this resolution would not be possible.
With the passing of this resolution, the Cambodian story is again told
so that no one shall ever forget this tragedy and shall never allow it to
happen again. As this event was important to our past history, people
such as you, along with the younger generations, are important to our present
and future.
Please keep up your work and commitment to the Cambodian community.
Again, thank you.
Sincerely,
Vi Houi, President
